🔨 About Cole Stamper

A proud native of Owen County, Kentucky, Cole Stamper has spent more than 25 years perfecting his masonry skills. He began his career in 1999 as a hod carrier for a small local masonry company, quickly advancing to an apprentice as his precision, speed, and passion for craftsmanship stood out.

Over the years, Cole has worked on residential homes, churches, schools, and commercial projects, mastering every aspect of the masonry trade. His pursuit of excellence led him to launch his own Kentucky masonry business, managing projects from foundation to finish with hands-on attention to detail and a commitment to superior results.

In 2007, after joining Mason Structure, Inc., Cole was promoted to Foreman, leading job sites, mentoring younger masons, and ensuring top-quality work across major construction projects. His leadership and experience continue to define him as a respected figure in the professional masonry community.

🧱 Championing Competitive Masonry

Cole’s rise in the world of competitive bricklaying began in 2015, when he entered his first SPEC MIX Bricklayer 500 event with his father as hod carrier. Though he didn’t advance that year, it sparked a drive that would take him to the top of the sport.

In 2016, Cole teamed up with his brother Forest Stamper to win the Ohio Regional Championship, earning First Place and the Top Craftsmanship Award. Their victory sent them to the World Championship in Las Vegas, where they finished 4th — a strong debut that hinted at future success.

By 2019, Cole had become one of the top names in competitive masonry. Partnering with Jeff Becker, he earned 2nd place at the World Championship with a zero-deduction wall of 749 bricks — just 11 shy of the winning total. Three years later, in January 2022, Cole reached the pinnacle of his craft, building a perfect wall of 760 scoring bricks and claiming the title of World’s Best Bricklayer.

After a short competition hiatus and a 4th-place finish in 2023, Cole returned stronger than ever. In 2024, alongside Forest, he reclaimed the Ohio Regional title, then went on to win the 2025 World Championship, defeating elite teams from the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the U.K.

That same year, Cole was invited to represent the United States at Super Trowel, England’s top bricklaying competition. Competing with unfamiliar materials, mortar, and judging standards, he and Forest triumphed again — taking First Place and astonishing the global masonry community. The victory further cemented Cole’s reputation as the undisputed World Champion Bricklayer and a true ambassador of the trade.

In January 2026, Cole and Forest Stamper will return to Las Vegas to defend their World Championship title against more than 25 international bricklaying teams. With unmatched experience, precision, and determination, Cole aims to fulfill his dreams of back-to-back SPEC MIX Bricklayer 500 world titles.
